Cate Newman is an Ottawa-based freelance reporter and photographer with a Master of Journalism from Carleton University.

Cate Newman graduated from the Master of Journalism program at Carleton University, as well as completing her Bachelor in Journalism at Carleton University. Cate completed her multimedia Master’s Research Project, Performing Masculinity: young men and boys vulnerable to harmful social media portrayals of manhood, in 2024.
